  4. I can see how European debt might effect confidence in the U.S stock market but I think many of these type of articles contain what I would call recursive reasoning. They look at what is happening and then look for what sounds like a reasonable explanation. And they do this on a day to day basis. If the Market spiked over the next two weeks you can bet this same author will write another article about some kind of good news and crooning about investor confidence and enthusiasm.
